Rare “Double 12” At Sunset Sound

     On Tuesday, December 14th, I spent the day at Sunset Sound in Hollywood with producer Julian Raymond.  I played keys for several bonus tracks that will go with Glen Campbell’s “Ghost On A Canvas” record that comes out this April. In the accompanying photo, guitarist Michael Ward ( “Wallflowers” ) pulled out this 1961 Gibson double 12 string guitar, of which only 48 were manufactured between 1958 and 1961. Although most of the tracks we cut were stripped down “unplugged” versions of several of Glen’s earlier hits, occasionally a little more “grit” was required and this ax fit the bill perfectly.
